- R synonymy function — by Nathan Kraft — last modified 2008-03-30 12:02
- two R functions to take a species binomial and generate a synonymized binomial that matches the USDA plant traits database. Requires that the usda taxa checklist is loaded in R as a dataframe called usda_names. Ideally used only on names that do not match the USDA checklist already, as it is slow. Also includes a function to take a multinomial (eg genus species variety author) and parse it into genus species.
