3B Statistics in R tutorial

Up one level

This lab is intended to provide a quick introduction to more advanced data manipulation, loops, multivariate correlations, principle component analysis, linear regression, t-tests and analysis of variance. Please make sure that you have worked through Dan Bunker's W2B R lab before starting this. There is no screencast, but the comments in the script are extensive. Make sure that you view the script in a program that permits text wrapping or you may have to scroll to the right to read the longer comments. There are two items to download: the script and a datafile from Will Cornwell's work at Jasper Ridge in California. Please only use this data for the purposes of this lab. Will's 2006 Ecology paper, found under Readings, provides good background on the site and trait sampling. Enjoy, and let me know if you have any questions! Nathan Kraft- UC Berkeley
